Why did i choose my Career? (Anthropology)
Hi again! Today,
i'm going to write about why i decided study anthropology.
This decision wasn't
very easy, especially, because when i was a child i liked many different
things! (like every child, i suppose). I really dreamed about studying
obstetrics and helping mothers in their pregnancies, especially i wanted to
help poor mothers. But when i grew up, i realized that medicine was not my thing -hahah-, because i
discovered the wonderful world of “History”, along with this, my first approach to
anthropology (i saw a documentary about
some tribe and the work of some anthropologists). Since that time (at 13 years
old), i researched about anthropology and i decided that, someday, i would be
an anthropologist!
So... why
anthropology? This career was my only option at the moment to applying to universitiy, i was very decided! I choose this
career, because, i’m a big fan of social science and i believe that
anthropology is the most transversal career of social science! You can learn
about the human being in different perspectives, about their culture, our
society, history, evolution, and much more. <3
Until now, my university experience has been interesting, i have met people with similar interests, and it has been a good opportunity to open my mind to new ways of understands the society. I hope it will be an enriching and beautiful experience.
About my future work, i don't know yet my specialty area, maybe Social Anthropology or Archeology, but i really know that i want to travel, meet people, study, investigate and contribute to discipline and the society. Make Anthropology a way of living!.

I really like your enthusiasm for studying anthropology and if you decide to specialize in archeology we will be partners :)
ReplyDeleteIts great that you have your choice a long time ago, i would have like that the same thing happening to me. (Social anthropology is better)
