Post 6 >> Back to the Past

Image
Hello everyone! Today I will talk about a controversial and interesting topic ... Do you prefer to go to the past or to the future? Actually, it is a very difficult decision for me because, because i would like to go to both, but I think that for me, as an anthropologist or archaeologist in the future, it is very important to understand our past in order to project ourselves into the future, so i would definitely travel towards to the past. The very difficult question is to decide where I would like to go. I think an interesting place to go would definitely be the pre-Hispanic America, there would be the time necessary to understand it. How did they live? What did you do? Obviously, most of these questions are answered in different books or poems, etc., but I think that as an anthropologist being able to be with them would be really different, I could really understand their thoughts, their worldview and everything related to their lives... Maybe it would be a strong e...

POST 5 >> A Photograph you Like

Image
Hi everyone! Today i will talk about a photograph that i like, i have a hard time choosing just one, because i like so many photographs, but there is a photograph that i really love, i thought of it immediately. This beautiful photo, was taken by me at a Blur's concert, my favorite band! It was taken in October 2015 in the Movistar Arena. At that time the band is playing one of my favorite songs "Beetlebum". If you don't know, Blur is a famous British band, icon of the "britpop" of the nineties. If you like to dance, melancholy, joy and a lot of emotions, Blur is for you <3 <3 For me it is a very important photograph because it crystallizes one of the best moments of my life, i had already attended two concerts of the band before, but i had never taken a photograph of them! I love the singer, Damon Albarn <3 and  i'm very happy because he will come again  with "Gorillaz" in 2018, so it will be a great opportunity to take many  pi...

Post 4 "My favorite Movie"

Image
Hi everyone! I hope you are very well, today I'll talk about one of my favorite movie in the world; "Into the wild". Into the wild its a movie from an adaptation of Jon Krakuer's book, with the same name. The film tells the story of a 20 year old graduate from college named Christopher McCandless, who, as an idealistic dreamer, in reaction against society and his parents, decide to give up his wealthy class and his family issues, so he decides sets out alone on a majestic and healthy journey across the USA, to explore the beauty and wonder of the world, followed, of course, with his inspiration source; his favorite books. After this little review (i really hope you can see the movie !!!, i'm only tell you the essential), i would like to tell you why this is my favorite movie; I really love the films based on true story and this is one of them! it's a very inspiring film, its represents freedom and makes you think about the society and how this may in...

POST 3 My Favourite Piece of Technology

Image
Hi everyone! Today i’ll talk about my favourite piece of techonology, i hope you enjoy it.  As we know, in our daily lives, we use many technological devices, so making a decision about one of them, was very difficult to me,but i think the most important piece of technology to me is the cell-phone. I don't know if i'm a big fan of this device, but i really know the cell-phone is one of the most functional devices in our lives!!! (although many people says "it's very bad use the cell-phones because this creates distance in people's relationship" or some things like that). About it, i really think that everyone knows how to use their cell phone and  make this “a functional device ”, it’s depends on each one ... So, i'll tell you about my little "cell-phone history". I had my first cell-phone when i was 13 or something like that (i don´t really remember), since that time i always have a cell-phone with me. My present cell-phone is a lega...

Why did i choose my Career? (Anthropology)

Image
Hi again ! Today, i'm going to write about why i decided study anthropology. This decision wasn't very easy, especially, because when i was a child i liked many different things! (like every child, i suppose). I really dreamed about studying obstetrics and helping mothers in their pregnancies, especially i wanted to help poor mothers.  But when i grew up, i realized that medicine   was not my thing -hahah-, because i discovered the wonderful world of “History”, along with this,  my first approach to anthropology  (i saw a documentary about some tribe and the work of some anthropologists). Since that time (at 13 years old), i researched about anthropology and i decided that, someday, i would be an anthropologist! So... why anthropology? This career was my only option at the moment to applying to universitiy, i was very decided! I choose this career, because, i’m a big fan of social science and i believe that anthropology is the most transvers...
